Olivia Lee is a Research Assistant Professor at the International Arctic Research Center in the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her research interests include studying the impacts of changing sea ice habitat in Arctic Alaska and the Pacific Arctic. She collaborates with indigenous subsistence hunters in the Alaskan Bering Strait region, and is a project scientist with the Alaska Arctic Observatory and Knowledge Hub. Olivia has a BA in Marine Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and PhD in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University.
She is a former board member for the US National Committee of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists, and the Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS).
She is currently a co-lead for the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) Diversity and Inclusion Working Group. She is a member of the AAAS, AAUW and AGU and is currently based on the Big Island, Hawaii.
